Eligibility Requirements and Types of Services Available

• You must have a documented physical or mental disability that is a significant barrier to getting or keeping employment. The barrier must be significant enough to require vocational rehabilitation services to gain or maintain employment.
• You must be an enrolled member of a state or federally recognized tribe and live within the thirteen parish service area.
• You must have a desire and be willing to be employed.
• If you receive Social Security Disability or have received a "Ticket to Work" you are automatically eligible.
• The types of services available may include medical, psychological, vocational and other types of evaluation examinations; training; vocational counseling and guidance; limited medical and psychological treatment; job placement and job coaching; job-seeking skills training; school-to-work transition for special needs clients; rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology devices; self-employment skills and services; etc.
